Easy to upload and generates points quickly to cash out for Amazon or Visa gift cards. Never had a problem.

Easy to use, love the perks, I like that I can take surveys for extra points and they are fast when I redeem points.

Did this for for years. Earned over 5k of coin rewards that equates to $25 in cash rewards?? It takes a lot to earn these coins. The expense of purchases that could be $300 worth or more, $25 is worthless. Sounds like slavery pennies to me. A rip off. The work of snapping paper receipts is work in itself. It also needs to be updated with receipt options such as approve delivery order receipts, n etc. Missing out on these is a lost of rewards for one to obtain. Also when they updated it’s still has glitches. I can’t look at the receipt image after it has been rewarded. They are also lesson the rewards. Overall they have to do better with currency rewards. This app is making money off our private n personal information through commerce. We are making pennies. This app is a no for me until they do better.

I’m surprised at how you designed your app to be honest. Your hog slots give next to nothing. Your email and digital spots give nothing but tickets to a lottery that I have even less chance of winning than your hog slots. And the kicker is that you actually FORCE your users to enter additional information and I’m so far from the smallest possible payout when I’ve cashed out my other apps I’ve been uploading for with over $10 at least once if not twice.

I have the worst time getting apps, emails, accounts connected. Even though I know the password is right, receipt hog either takes forever to connect, makes you jump through hoops and then says, unable to connect. Try again later. It’s not just one specific sort I’m trying to connect. It’s happened every time but one. It’s very frustrating. Your points are also very slow to accumulate.

Great app using this app for years

I use this app daily to quickly snap a picture of my paper receipt then not have to worry about it. Whenever i need to reference a past purchase, i just go into the app and can see all my receipts. To also get rewarded for doing this is the cherry on top

Great way to earn a little extra cash with your everyday purchases. I’ve made $20 so far.

It is so nice to just scan your receipts that you normally get from all places, and get a bonus credit card!

Don’t use this app they steal info and berate it around as if it’s their own to use I’ve already reported them to bbb. Additionally they are currently refusing to delete my account.

Lately, the app cannot “see” the date printed on the receipts. I have submitted several and it cannot see the date although it’s clearly printed on the receipt. Very aggravating.

Used it for years. As of recently you no longer receive points for E-receipts. All you receive is an entry to the drawing. Useless. That puts a huge damper for people who order online.. So many people shop online these days. One would think that that would be important to the owners of this app.Apparently not.

What a great way to earn gift cards. All I gotta do is take pics of receipts to get gift cards. I love it!!!

This is a fun app to save money as also redeem for cash prizes, just for taking pictures of your receipts. I think this will also be a good way to track. Typical interest in what consumers buy.

This app takes FOREVER to get to 5-20$ cash back. Much better apps that are worth the hassle. My least fav app for receipts.

My points have just magically disappeared

Easy to submit receipts…easy to get rewards!!!

BUT….I hate the sounds it makes. If im alone no problem but all that noise cant be done in public without onlookers thinking your impaired menally or a big child. I loose points as I have to save to later in most cases and then you know how that goes. Wish they had a button to turn off sound so you could use in public.

This app is so frustrating and not as good as other receipt apps. They had some promotion going on where you upload a certain amount of receipts and get free spins while I met all those requirements I uploaded so many receipts within the time. Period and I didn’t get the bonus spins I contacted customer service who replied with a generic response and didn’t understand what I was saying she didn’t review what I asked her to review so this has been nothing but a waste of time and I’m deleting this app.

The app seems decent I just cashed in for my first $15 amazon gift card, took me some time to get that many coins. Maybe a little too long. I would love to see better ways to earn coins and level up faster.

Inaccuracies still exist. Submitted Walmart receipt from 03/08/25 for $12.98 and it was rejected. I marked it as error not old receipt and again rejected on 03/11/25. Very disappointed with no way to report to company.

This app is really a complete waste of time. There are many apps that are more beneficial and forthcoming than receipt hog. My advice is to move on to others.

Updated: although it’s not flawless, Receipt Hog is one of the few apps of its kind that I’ve kept. They added surveys now which is a nice addition. They also have slots to earn more credits. Keep up the nice improvements! I like this app. Good interface and features but the receipt scanning needs improvements. I scan my receipts 5 times and it still doesn’t pickup the date then I give up. In one instance, it told me my receipt is from a foreign country! Yet, it accepted from that store a few times earlier. No consistency when it comes to scanning receipts. I don’t have the time to contact support either. It’s not worth the time to report the erroneous incidents.

A very easy to use app that quickly gives you points towards actual cash for your receipts! Takes 2 seconds to upload pictures and points add up quickly if you’re at stores often. Cashing out takes about 24 hours sometimes a little longer but I ALWAYS get paid. 100% legit app!

You’d be amazed this app I appreciate so much I needed $5 and well I got it as usual I wish they would have more ways to work for them because this is a blessing If anyone knows any other ways please share Ty

I have so many receipts that U don’t pick up on the date. It’s becoming a waste of time.

I’ve been receipt hog for months now and has been a great way to get a little cash back from my purchases.

The amount of work to try to get such little rewards on an app with many issues isn’t worth it. Verifying wasn’t working now I’m waiting on my gift card code which they say is sent but it’s not. I’ve asked to resend still waiting. Fetch is better faster and you get more points without all the games & runaround.

Takes what feels like forever to earn money and you have to report if you were by yourself every single time other apps don’t do that.

I have had multiple receipts marked as old even though I submitted them on the same day as the purchase. Reached out to customer service and they just wanted to say it was ineligible (it wasn’t) and ignored that I was telling them it was marking receipts as old.

I’ve had this app for at least four years now and I can testify that it does cash out money. I have received plenty of five dollar cash out that goes to Amazon purchases. A fun way to track your receipts and get a little change on the side.

We have been using this app since 2019 and build up enough coins to obtain a $40 gift card annually. It is not a huge amount, but every little bit helps. The only issue that I have had is that the individuals that review the receipts occasionally miss the date, or say that it is blurry when it isn't. Or they say it is a duplicate when I have multiple receipts for the same date. I only have multiple receipts on the same date when I realize I forgot an item or I have to make multiple trips. I recommend this app all of the time. Despite this I have yet to have any referral credits, only because those who I refer forget to enter my referral code or don't actually sign up.

UPDATE: The so called support has now made it I can use the app but am unable to send a msg to them. I get an error 1000. So I went to X & initially was chatted with but then blocked. I now went to Facebook but expect I will get the same results there. So I will be filing a complaint with the FTC for their business practices & refusing to work with consumers who are critical of their services.

What happened to this app? All of the sudden 75% of my current receipts (as in just got back from the store receipts) are being marked as old. I dispute these claims and the same horrible system does NOT RECTIFY the issue. Save your time. Use a different app. Dev team- don’t send me messages to send you the receipts. It’s not worth my time. Just Fix the problem!!!! Start with manually looking through receipts that users have disputed more than 1x. Update: 3/25/2025 Whole Foods receipt being marked as 3/10/2025 and claiming it’s an old receipt. Uploaded the receipt again and the same thing. It’s 3/25/2025. The receipt is less than 4 hours old. What a joke. FIX THE ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The concept of this app is pretty cool I'll admit, that's why I'm giving it two stars instead of one, but the overall functioning of the app and the point distribution system needs A LOT of work. The online upload receipt feature of the app is SLOW for one, and most of the receipts it does end of retrieving end up being converted into raffle tickets instead of coins. Look guys, anyone with half a brain knows raffles are a waste of time-especially for some paltry five dollar gift card lol, I mean c'mon... and the fact that you're making us all wait a thousand coins just to reach said five dollar gift card-based mainly on coins earned gambling at a slot machine no less- I mean, really...? Step your game up guys. I've got better things to do with my time then grind for weeks on end just to receive some lame five dollar gift card. Make it 400/500 coins to reach the payout and watch your user base explode. Give a little, get a little right...? We're giving you data undoubtedly worth at least THOUSANDS in the right hands and THIS is how you repay us? Lol, good luck.
